Last week we went to Sunriver, Oregon with all the grandparents. Paul’s work has been stressful, the kids are getting tired of me, and I’m trying not to get too tired of them. So it was a much needed getaway for all of us. It has been over 10 years since I’ve been to Sunriver and it is still one of my favorite places in Oregon. We had lots of fun swimming, biking, walking, park trips, and hanging out with family.
One of our neighbors was also there with her kids so it was great to see them and do mini golf, ice cream, and the little train that goes around the village. The kids loved the train!
One morning we went to The High Desert Museum which was fun. The kids enjoyed seeing the otters, birds, and fish in ponds. The had a display of a turkey vulture eating a dead deer and Claire could not stop talking about why the vulture eats the dear. It is so interesting what she latches on to.
Checking out the otters with Meema:
Grampa telling Claire about all the types fish in the pond:
Paul, always working….
The kids definitely had their share of ice cream this trip (Henry insisted on wearing his PJ shirt that day):
We were definitely exhausted when we returned home but looking forward to more trips there in the future!
