A Day Hike and Pre-K!

We had a nice relaxing Labor Day weekend with family and friends visiting. It was a rainy, cooler weekend (yay!), that was perfect for games and lazy days. On Monday I took the kids with our friend Sara to Bridal Veil State Park along the gorge to do a short hike and see Bridal Veil Falls. The kids had fun, although I think we need to condition the kids’ legs more because Henry said his legs hurt about 1/4 of the way there.

Love.

Yesterday Henry started his last year of Preschool (crazy!). He has been asking every day if it is his first day of school. He is so ready for this school year and it was great seeing his happy face as we walked into his Mice classroom.

First Grader and Eight Months

It’s a big week at our house with Claire starting school this week. She has been so excited to not be the youngest in the school anymore.

We both can’t believe how old she looks in these photos. It’s been such a summer of growth for her and she is no longer our little kindergartener. The girl who never wants me to brush her hair requested a high pony tail as high as I could make it. She had a great first day and has since wanted to ride the bus in the morning to school. Yay! After the struggles we had last year, it makes the mornings so much easier.

Cameron is now eight months!

This sequence of photos is a great display of his personality. Even though some are blurry, he makes this great smile when he sees someone smile at him. No crawling yet, thank goodness. He is starting to connect sitting to the crawling position, but so far only rolling or spinning in circles slowly. He is still such a happy little guy who loves C&H and lights up when they play with him. Sleep is getting better, but not quite there yet. Two teeth have come up with another on the way.  He has started to pick up food and put it in his mouth. It’s a great distraction at dinner time. He likes the stroller and going on walks. Such a sweet boy.

Henry is going to school this year, his just starts next week. He is so ready!
