A Coast Trip!

Paul suggested heading to the coast for the day after breakfast and it sounded like a great idea. It was the perfect way to spend a day that ended up being pretty smoky here because of the fires in Eastern Oregon.

We decided to try out Tillamook since I have never been there and I wanted to see the cheese factory. The kids loved the ice cream and it was fun to see the factory.

The kids had a great time at the coast. Cameron also loved his first trip and enjoyed the feeling of the sand.

Sunriver 2015

We just got back from one of our favorite places to visit, Sunriver. It’s so great for the kids at this age and actually relaxing for me and Paul. Meema and Boopa joined us which is always fun. Here is the recap of our week:
  • Surprisingly easy car trips to and from with very little car fights, baby crying, and consistent, “Are we there  yet?” comments.
  • Cameron does not like being away from his crib or routine. Nights were pretty horrible. Having his first stomach bug didn’t help any. Poor guy was miserable. Lots of cuddling for him.

  • Morning bike rides with Boopa for Claire and Henry to Fort Rock Park.
  • Lots of swimming at SHARC with constant promises from Claire to go down the huge slide. Also the hot tub was quite the hit with the kids.
  • Bubbles on the back deck.

  • Unfortunately Henry also got the stomach bug so a morning of TV was in order.

  • Thankfully both Cameron and Henry felt better within a day.

  • Paul couldn’t escape completely from work.

  • Ping pong matches between Craig and Paul. (Paul wants a rematch, Craig!)
  • Lots of walks in the stroller for Cameron with Meema.
  • No sleep for me or Paul.
  • Paul and Claire’s trip to the observatory to see Saturn, Constellations, and the Moon. Claire loved it, she is really into space right now and it was such a fun outing for her. She was thrilled to stay up until 11. The next day she actually took a nap!
  • Kids having fun being kids together.
  • A magic show that was fun.

  • The kids loved staying in bunk beds and were constantly switching which bed they slept in.
  • Going to The Village for ice cream at Goody’s, the bounce houses, and riding the train.

    Can’t wait until next time!
Today we celebrated Henry’s half birthday:

He was so excited to have a cupcake but was so disappointed that we didn’t have a party for him. Silly guy.

Seven Months!

We can’t believe the little guy is seven months already! I wasn’t organized this month with the stickers, but I think Cameron still looks pretty cute:

At seven months Cameron is:

  • Rolling, rolling, and more rolling. If Cameron sees something he is going to roll to get it. Especially if it’s anything that is either Claire’s or Henry’s.
  • Loves “peek a boo”. Also he likes when someone jump out and says “Boo!” really loud.
  • A little thrill-seeker at only seven months. He loves it when Paul puts him upside down or gently flips him in the air. Whenever Paul wrestles with the kids Cameron is locked on watching and clapping. I’m terrified of what he will be like as a toddler.
  • Finally sleeping in the crib! For all naps/bedtime! YAY! It’s been a bit of a battle. We had to sleep train him a little but thankfully he’s been doing great the last couple of days/nights.

Last weekend we headed down to Eugene and we got to see Kevin and Sarah which was really nice and the kids had fun.
