On Monday, Paul leaves for Charlotte to start off our new adventure. With our two cats in tow, he will drive across the country dodging tornados to start his job at TIAA-CREF on May 2nd. His official title is Associate in the Natural Resources group. He will be involved in the group that oversees agricultural, infrastructure, timberland, and energy investments. Bascially, Paul likes to think of it as real estate that has no buildings. He's very excited to start the position and it really is in line with his interests.
We went to Charlotte a few weeks ago and in three days we saw about 30 houses for sale. Luckily, we found one that we really like and hopefully we will close on the 6th of May. In the time between Paul leaving and the kids and I arriving on the 10th, both Boo-pa's will make the trek and help us move. Craig will be driving all our stuff in a moving truck and Don will be driving our other car. Hopefully there will be no tornados like our last move cross-country and everyone will arrive in one piece. We are excited to finally be settled somewhere but are sad to leave our family back in Oregon. It has been wonderful to spend this time with our family. But now it is time for our big adventure!
