Splash Pad

The great thing about living in an area with a warmer climate is all the water features located at local parks. Last week we went up to Lake Norman State Park and Claire had a ton of fun swimming in the lake. In many parks/shopping centers there are giant areas with water fountains for kids, also called, "Splash Pads". They are wonderful. Today we went to a town nearby called Kannapolis that has a great park with a playground, train, and splash pad. The splash pad and train only cost $1 to use, so hard to beat! Claire had so much fun. The train ride was her favorite part by a long shot. We had to drag her to see the splash pad and after using that, drag her to the car to go home. She would have rode the train all day long. The splash pad was a lot of fun. At first she wasn't too sure of it but then she warmed up and loved the "rain" that was coming down on her. We will be spending a lot of time there this summer!

Cheeese!

Waiting for the train to start.

She wanted to ride in the very back.

Slowly checking out the splash pad.

Starting to get warmed up...

Loves it!

One of happy Henry after returning from his long trip of sleeping while Claire was having fun!
