Soccer Star…

…well kinda. Claire is playing soccer this fall and it is her first time doing a competitive league. And by competitive, I mean it’s three on three, there is a uniform, and they don’t keep score. Yesterday was her first game after one practice two weeks ago. It was a lot of fun to watch even though it was in the 90s. Thankfully we found a small patch of shade and had an umbrella to help. It is always fun to see the difference between kids this age regarding how quickly they pick up on a sport. Claire is one who looks like she is getting in on the action but never really touches the ball unless by accident. It’s great. There is one little girl on her team who is quite the player. Our two rules for Claire are: have fun and listen to your coach. Despite being very hot and tired, I think she did both!

This is what happened when I tried to take a picture of Henry:

The last couple of days Henry has been dressing like this:

023    032

That is my high school graduation robe. He loves to wear it and call himself a wizard. His teachers heard that he likes to dress up from his camp counselors this summer so they got a bunch of dress up clothes for his classroom. That’s our kid-always in costume!
