Happy Independence Day! We are sweltering here and are wishing Oregon summer would return not this craze 95 degree plus. This morning in the spirit of the day we braved the heat and participated in the neighborhood parade, picnic, and party. The kids decorated their bikes and followed a firetruck for about a block in a parade. It was cute. We had lunch, lasted about one game and then came home a couple of hours early. It was hot! A relaxing afternoon with food and friends is in store for us the rest of the day!
