This was the first year we took Claire Trick or Treating. Before the big event, our street had a potluck with the idea to fill up the kids with dinner before heading out. I thought it was a pretty good idea, the only fallback was that Henry didn’t take a second nap and he was pretty tuckered out. The poor little duck lasted only a little bit before we took him home. Finally the adults gave the green light for the kids to start. It was like a scene from a movie where the sidewalks are covered in kids and kids are running across the street, house to house. Pretty fun. Claire did great, she was not at all scared of the costumes. The concept was a little hard for her still, she wanted to go inside all the houses after getting the pieces of candy in addition to wanting to eat the candy. We lasted about 7-8 houses. When we got home, she loved handing out candy after trying to hide her bag of candy. Our stash was cleared out in about 1 1/2 hours. Looking forward to taking both the children next year!
Trying to get both kids, let alone Claire, to smile for a picture is pretty impossible. Claire does not like getting her picture taken at all.
Claire with our neighbor friends: The UPS men, Henry(the baby) and Charlie. Claire adores Charlie.
